Iran short film 'Darkness' directed by Saeid Jafarian is set to compete at 2018 Vila do Conde Film Festival in Portugal.
'Darkness' will compete with 31 films from other countries.
A brief synopsis of the 15-minute flick reads, "A young woman goes out to the street to look for her husband in the middle of the night."
The film that has experienced its first international screening at the 71st short films competition section of Cannes Film Festival, will have second international presence in its resume.
Founded in 1993, Vila do Conde Film Festival is one of the most important cinematographic and cultural events in Portugal dedicated to short-films and is held annually in July.
The 26th edition of Vila do Conde Film Festival is slated for July 14-22.
